well, this has been the second week of my "couch to 5k" training program, which called upon me to run for 90 seconds then walk for two minutes, repeated for twenty minutes. since i'd been having such a hard time with week one (running for 60 seconds, which doesn't sound like a lot!) i was pretty discouraged going into this week.
but surprise, surprise - it didn't hurt as much as the first week! this isn't to say that it has been easy - definitely not! i'm still out of shape (or, at least, the wrong shape for successful running - that is to say, penguin-shaped!) and it was still painful, but it didn't hurt as much as the first week did, which leads me to live in hope that it can only get better from here (that's logical, right?).
